Landscapes started my love for photography and this will always be an area that I enjoy working in; I love chasing light and seeing what I can create simply by photographing the world from different angles and challenging myself to use certain lenses or getting creative in post-production for a change.

I also have a thing about people. It started when I I was at school and I studied the work of the French Photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. He was a humanist photographer, a true master of candid photography and I absolutley fell in love with his images. Each time I looked at his photos I wanted to know the story behind them, I wanted to speak to the people in them and I wanted to find out why they were doing what they were. Cartier-Bresson had done his job; I was intrigued and I'd never get the offical answers that I wanted. This inspired a little project for me - Hands At Work. It's all black and white, it's always different and it's not my usual style but it is without a doubt one of the best things I've ever started.

"photographers deal in things that are continually vanishing, and when they have vanished, there is no contrivance on earth that can make them come back again"
